Potatoes infused with aromatic spices
Ingredients Required:
250g potatoes
3 tomatoes (200g)
50g yogurt (curd)
4 tbsp cream/malai
Recipe:
1. Cut 250g potatoes into medium sized pieces, fry or sauté till golden brown and keep aside.
2. In a kadai/pan, heat 3-4 tbsp oil and add 3 (200g) crushed tomatoes, 50g thick curd with 30g Nimkish Dum Aloo Masala and sauté on medium heat till oil separates.
3. Add 1 cup water and fried potatoes. Once it boils turn to low heat, cover with lid and cook for 5-10 minutes or till the potatoes are tender. Now add 4 tbsp cream or beaten malai, cover with lid and cook on low heat for another 2-3 minutes. Garnish with butter and fresh coriander.
Tip: Use baby potatoes for authentic Dum Aloo.
